Alex Kanevsky said it best -

"Painting is not something I do to a canvas. It is a form of conversation, and just like a conversation it can turn out exciting, boring, ugly, beautiful, enlightening. Like a conversation, it can have unexpected turns, sudden discoveries and hidden subtext and periods of silence. All this is what makes painting endlessly fascinating."

And like a conversation, my art tends to have elements that propel it forward. In any of my paintings thin lines and scratches represent whimsy, the grid patterns represent the internal struggle between order and chaos. The landscapes I paint are an inward journey, the tree lines are always happy, and my faces are all of us--beautiful in our imperfections.

I invite you to invent your own stories about the places and faces I create. Enjoy!
